Migrate from SBS 2008 to Windows Servers Components
We are currently running Windows Small Business Server 2008 and have outgrown it's 75 CAL limitation. I plan on migrating to 3 Windows Server components, 1 box for exchange, 1 for SharePoint, & 1 for File, misc, etc. I'm looking for some documentation
or advice on the steps to convert. my plan is as follows:
1) Add new servers as members
2) Install exchange on one server, move mailboxes, created connectors, etc.
3) Uninstall exchange from SBS server
4) Install SharePoint on one server, backup SharePoint on SBS then restore on new server
6) DCPromo one server and move all AD rolls from SBS to new DC
7) Uninstall SBS 2008 from old server and retire/retask.
Thanks
