Migrate SAP AIX/ORACLE on-prem to AZURE SAP Windows/MSSQL - minimum downtime
With minimum downtime in mind, what are the AZURE options for a heterogeneous migration of an SAP-AIX-Oracle on-premises landscape to Azure all-Microsoft? Apart from the obvious ie install a new SAP system on Azure as a migration from the source, using SAP SWPM syscopy tools, where SAP syscopy tools require the DB export phase, which is obviously downtime.

Wishful thinking: Does Microsoft (Azure or non) have tools for syncing an MSSQL DB with Oracle redologs?

Any case studies and or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi sir,

Base on my experience, It seems that there are some tools can meet your requirement, such as Database Sync - Oracle and SQL Compact,

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sync/archive/2010/01/05/new-release-database-sync-oracle-and-sql-compact.aspx

For this similar issue, Please refer to this thread:

BTW, you can post this issue on SQL Azure (https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/azure/en-US/home?forum=ssdsgetstarted) for more details.
