Migrate 2008 R2 standard to Enterprise

Have OEM Standard installed on 2008 R2 SQL server but of course hit ceiling for memory. Purchased MAK for 2008 R2 Enterprise.

What (other than re-install) are my options? DISM did not work, have yet to try moving from OEM to KMS key and then switching to MAK.

Hi,

Thanks for your posting.

You could use the command switch between the keys.

SLMGR /Rearm

Then restart the server.

Input your activation key, restart the server.
