Microsoft Windows Media Services WMServer service fails to start

Hello,I'm currently building a Media Services on a Server 2008 box but have run into a problem which I know the solution for but unfortunately cannot access due to the service being stopped by the problem. The WMServer service is being stopped due to a plug-in that requires Server 2008 Enterprise. Media Services does support Server 2008 standard but there is no way in the installation to say I do not want to use the Media Parser Advanced FF/RW plug-in so when the service starts it fails straight away giving the error code 0xc00d1583.I cannot find any way to disable that plug-in or to keep the service alive to have enough time to disable the plug-in from the menu.I hope someone can shed some light on this.Regards,David

Hello,

Based on some research, I find the following thread that seems the same:

I would like to suggest that you remove the Streaming Media Services and then re-install it following the steps in the "Full installation option" section of the following article:

How to install Windows Media Services in Windows Server 2008:

I hope this helps.
