Hi,although this paper (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/rmsrecovery.mspx) applies to Windows Rights Management Services (2003), there are not many changes in Active Directory Rights Management Services (Server 2008). Therefore I suggest that you read it.In order to setup redundant RMS solution I suggest that you1) Create a NLB cluster of certification and licnesing servers2) Create a failover cluster of SQL servers3) Use CNAMEs for NLB URL and SQL server name. This way it is really easy to move the services from one server to another. For example if your SQL server goes down you just need to restore the configuration database on a server and rewrite the CNAME in DNS. Also it is much easier to add a new RMS server into cluster if you use CNAMEs.Feel free to ask more questions if needed Best regardsMartin Rublik

Adding to Martin, the following articles could be helpful to increase availability and redundancy of AD RMS:Basic AD RMS Architecturehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee256070(WS.10).aspx Joining an Existing Clusterhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee221028(WS.10).aspxMore information: AD RMS Design Guidehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee221010(WS.10).aspx<!---->This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
