Microsoft Outlook trying to contact Non-existant Exchange server
I have just started getting a pop up alert from Microsoft Outlook 2007, saying "Outlook is trying to retrieve data from the Microsoft Exchange server XXX.xxx.xxxx.xxxMy problem is that exchagne server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx does not exist, has NEVER existed. the server it is referring to is only acting as a Domain Controller.Does anyone know why Outlook would all of a sudden try to contact my DC thinking it was an Exchange server??? side note: outlook behavior seems to hang when this msg pops, up then it catches up with whatever it was trying to do and continues to function as normal.Net Admin EWTGPAC

Hi, This should be an office or Exchange Server issue. I suggest discussing it in our Office newsgroup or Exchange Server forum. Office newsgroup: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?d=1 Exchange Server forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/exchangeserver/ I hope your issue can be resolved soon.
