Memory not reporting correctly
I have a machine thats running server 2003 enterprise r2. It has 8 gigs of ram installed in it. In the task manager it shows that there is 8 gigs installed, but only 1 gig available. When i go to the processes tree it shows that there is only about 400megs in use. I spoke to HP, who is the manufacture of our servers, and ran an bunch of tests and determined there was nothing wrong with the hardware. I am unable to find any information on this, if anyone could help or point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Sounds strange , but you figured that out already :-) Is it a 32 bit system you should in most cases enable PAE switch in Boot.ini? your processes tree in Task manager only shows you certain information on your memory utilization, try adding some columns about memory or download process monitor from http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/processmonitor.mspx Might be able to figure out something here. there is a Webcast on this page as well.
