Memory issues on Server 2008R2 Enterprise
I have a virtual machine that is running Server 2008R2 and I am having some memory issues. My memory usage was very high. I was using 2 GB and it was using 1.75 GB. Then I increased the memory to 2.5 GB and now the memory usage is increasing in proportion to the availabe memory. Now the usage went up to 2.2 GB out of 2.5GB. Nothing else changed or were added. I tried to ajust the paging file and recreate it. I do not see any program that is using an excessive amount of memory. The server is running SQL 2008, but that does not seem to be using more then 70 MB of memory. What can I look for or why would the total memory usage increase when I add more memory? I should add that this increase happens slowly over a week.

SQL is likely consuming the rest of your memory If you look at the perfmon counters you will see the memory allocation Please check http://serverfault.com/questions/115982/weird-memory-usage-in-windows-server-2008-r2
