Media Center Vista Beta 2
I recently installed windows vista beta 2 build 5384 and really like the new interface but i have a couple of hangups with media center now. I was running xp media center previously, without any problems. But with the new version when navigating my video selection MC crashes. I have narrowed down the problem some, if the folder i am navigating to has more than about 15 videos it is much more likely to crash. My guess is an issue with the thumbnail previews loading. It is a fairly easy solution to try and keep all folders limited to 15 or so files per. Then i ran into a problem when the folder had about 20 folders in it. The same problems started reoccuring. If anyone has a suggestion that would be great. Secondly i was wondering if there is a way to edit the information for the movie library. I can't seem to find a way to add dvd meta data to ripped dvds. Cheers, John

I would suggest trying Window Vista Help and Support at this link: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/default.mspx This is a Windows Server Longhorn forum.

I had the same problem, it was a thread hanging up with the video driver itself. went from nvidia to ati and back again. finally ati has fixed the driver, but im still scared to put my nvidia card back in my machine. Try a different card, hope this helps you. fred....
