Management Server not listening for SNMP traps

Hi everyone,

I recently added two Management Servers to my SCOM deployment, and reconfigured my network discovery rules and network resource pool to use these new servers.

Everything gets discovered and monitored properly by the new servers, except that they don't receive the SNMP traps sent by the monitored network devices.

So I fired up Wireshark which confirmed that the traps are arriving to the servers, but that they are not accepted (answer "port unreachable").

I then checked if the servers were listening on port UDP 162 (netstat -na | findstr 162), and sure enough they're not.

I tried clearing the cache, restarting the servers, deleting and recreating the network discovery rule but still no luck.

Any idea?

Thanks!

It's SCOM 2012 SP1 ("network discovery rules" and "network resource pools" were hints) and I'm following Kevin's instructions by the book, as everyone should ;)

The thing I can't understand is that it's working perfectly fine if I'm sending the traps to my old MS, which was configured exactly the same way
