Management Packs SCOM Gateway (HP, Cisco and VMware)

Hi

I have two separate business locations. Site 1 (primary) contains the SCOM Management Server / Group, Cisco blades and a large VMware Esxi / vCenter estate. Site 2 contains HP & VMware servers and just has a SCOM Gateway server.

My question is: If I deploy the HP & VMware Management Packs in Site 1 - will they monitor / Alert on the HP, VMware hardware in Site 2 (behind the SCOM Gateway) or will I need to deploy a Management Server in Site 2 (and the relevant management packs)?

thanks

Management Packs get imported into the Operations Manager database and from there to all agents that require the Management Pack (via the Management Server). You don't need to do anything to get monitoring into other sites.

Note - Management Servers in remote sites is generally not a good idea as latency can lead to data corruption.
