Hi,
I have a managed metadata field called Document Type. I created a managed property (in the central administration > search administration > Search schema) AGDocumentType, mapped to the ows_Document_0x020_Type field. I have one site collection that is used as enterprise search center. The documents that make use of the managed metadata field Document Type are on other site collections.
The managed property AGDocumentType has the following options selected:
- - Type: text
- - Searchable
- - Queryable
- - Retrievable
- - Refinable: Yes, active
- - Token normalization
I ran a full crawl (several + reboot), but it seems like it doesnt index this field. When I do a search: AGDocumentType:*, there are no results found. If I do a search for other managed properties (that are metadata fields of the same content type as Document Type, I have get the expected results.
I have a custom display template, which shows some managed properties. It shows all properties except AGDocumentType (returns as empty).
I added another managed metadata field, and created a new managed property for it. I edited the metadata of some files in order to have a value for this new field, and ran a full crawl. I have the same behavior for this field. I cannot do a search like: managedPropetyName:*, I dont getvalues in my refiner and the item has no value in my display template.
So for now I have 3 managed metadata fields, all mapped to a different term set. The value of the managed metadata appears in the summary of the search results, but Im unable to get a refiner for the field, of get it in a display template, or do a targeted search.
Does somebody has a clue? Is it the settings of the managed property? Maybe the refinable setting? Do I have to map the managed property to something other than: ows_Document_0x020_Type? (I have done this numerous times in SP2010, where this approach worked just fine).
Thanks in advance!
Kr,
Francis
