MS DNS & DHCP
Hi,
I'd like to post a question to all you network admins who keep DNS and DHCP wheel turning in your respective organizations.
If you had a magic wand and you could improve ANY aspect of your current version of (or upcoming) DNS and DHCP, what would they be?
Cheers,
Bob

Hello,
as this doesn't belong to Directory services, where this forum is made for, please use the following one to get detailed information about networking services:

As a long time Microsoft/Windows ISV (since the 80s), this is one of
the big turnoffs I have with the changes of Microsoft support towards
these moderated forums and all these 3rd party moderators running amok
with "anal" discretions of highly subjective opinions steering people
in different directions.
To me, the OP question is relevant to Directory Services because #1,
DNS is fundamental to AD and DHCP is a service required for
operations, then its part of AD too.
I don't quite understand the OP's question, but I don't get your
moderated response - i.e., it isn't helpful to steer him in different
directions rather to find out how does it apply and what is he looking
for.
Just my own subjective opinion.

I would request more detail of the question specifics to DNS & DHCP.

Hector, Meinolf was just pointing the author to right forum, if he has networking related question,he can take help from networking experts because experts here might know DS(Directory Service) in depth but not with the networking expertise, this is my personal
view, so posting there would get author better help related to network then here.
If its DNS or DHCP related question, sure we can discuss & i would request author to describe the details with DNS & DHCP help required.
