As a long time Microsoft/Windows ISV (since the 80s), this is one of the big turnoffs I have with the changes of Microsoft support towards these moderated forums and all these 3rd party moderators running amok with "anal" discretions of highly subjective opinions steering people in different directions. To me, the OP question is relevant to Directory Services because #1, DNS is fundamental to AD and DHCP is a service required for operations, then its part of AD too. I don't quite understand the OP's question, but I don't get your moderated response - i.e., it isn't helpful to steer him in different directions rather to find out how does it apply and what is he looking for. If its DNS or DHCP related question, sure we can discuss & i would request author to describe the details with DNS & DHCP help required.
