MSDTC security settings get defaulted
Anyone ever seen the MSDTC Security settings get defaulted. I have 10 servers and 2 sql clusters that all had the Network DTC Access, Allow Inbound and Allow Outbounds settings get unchecked over the weekend. The servers are all IIS 7 W2k8 servers the clusters are W2k8 and Sql2k8. The only change that was happening was a chassis maintenance (these systems run on HP c-class hardware), this maintenance required that the clusters be failed over and that IIS be stopped on all the IIS servers. After that maintenance was completed the servers all began throwing the follow error on via ASP.NET, Exception information: Exception type: TransactionException Exception message: The operation is not valid for the state of the transaction. Any thoughts? Chris

I think it will be better to post in http://forums.iis.net/ forums. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. I dont agree, if you look at the forums listing for iis.net there isnt anything related to MSDTC. MSDTC is more a server related component as it is used by many application beside IIS> Chris
