MMC Switch
I see this on a post: Create your shortcut to the snap-in (or copy from another system, making sure that you call the msc using the /s switch (%SystemRoot%\system32\winsmgmt.msc /s ). I was wondering - what does the /s switch mean, and where is that documented at all?

And what would happen if I ran it without? Ie. Are you talking about if I run this locally? What if I am running this from a client PC looking to manage a server?

Hi ReuvyGroovy,If we don't want the splash screen coming up when opening the MMC, we can use the MMC "/s" to turn off the splash screen. We can usethe command line switch "/computer:" to target a different computer. Hope it helps. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
