MHT prompt

I have SCOM 2012 R2 and I have the console installed on a 2012 R2 remote desktop services server. However whenever I click on an alert and try to view the alert details it prompts for a file download of a MHT file instead of rendering it in the Alert Details section of the console.

How do I resolve this?

Hi,

It seems that the IE can't render MHT files successfully.

What's the IE version?

Can you open the MHT file with IE?

Its Server 2012 R2 RDS with IE11. It just prompts for File Download when using Operations Manager console instead of actually displaying it in the Detail View.

I still can't get this to work. I checked and .mht and .mhtml is associated with IE but even IE won't open a mht file. It just prompts for file download and can never actually view it

Hi,

I would suggest you to open the mht files in Compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Use Compatibility View in Internet Explorer
