Are any of the newer versions of Visual Studio and/or SQL server featuring code completion or auto-formatting.  Ive used RedGate sql prompt in the past for tsql and it works great, but just not for MDX, or at least not that im aware of?  Does SQL 2012 and/or SSDT allow you to use code completion with MDX ?

Currently, code formatting is not supported in either SSMS or SSDT. I suggest you format the MDX query on some sites like:

http://formatmdx.azurewebsites.net/

http://mdxquery.com/mdx/

Or you can use MDX Studio (developed by mosha) to write your MDX query.
