Lync 2013: how to change user settings?

Hello,

At work I got asked to build and distribute a package of Lync 2013 to our users with some specific settings.

I used the Office 2013 ISO we have and with "setup.exe /admin" adjusted the setup so it would only install the Lync Client

The distribution and installation went smooth.

Now one of the addition questions were: "disable Lync to start up automatically when a user logs in to Windows"

A quick search showed I should find the registry keys under: HKCU - software - microsoft - communicator

But on my testpc 'communicator' doesnt exist.

I started to compare the registry and found out it saved the settings under:

hkey_users -> 'uservalue' -> software -> microsoft -> office -> 15.0 -> Lync

On my laptop where I installed the Office 2013 directly from the ISO this 'communicator' value also doesnt excist.

Is it possible that it's only created when you use a Lync Server?
How can I change user settings then? Or do i need to search for another install?
(talking about +-1500ppl..)

-btw: there's no option to select Lync 2013 forum-

Hi,

Please try to change the value of HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\FirstRun to 0 to test the issue.
