Lsass process I/O activity
Hi guys, I am running Windows 2008 Server SP1 (all updates installed) and about 2 days ago I noticed that the HDD activity LED is always lit even if the computer is idle. I checked the running processes and noticed that the lsass service is permanently doing I/O activity (3 I/O reads, 3 I/O writes per second). I checked my computer with Symantec Endpoint Protection and no threats were detected. Is this behavior normal ? ( I am pretty sure the HDD activity LED was not permanently on before). Could you give me a lead on what this could be or at least something to search for ?Thank you in advanceAlex.

I installed SP2. Didn't solve the issue. I'm starting to think the behavior is normal :(
