Login Delay of client in Server 2008 R2 Domain Cotroller.
I am running Server 2008 R2 as Domain controller and its a single domain controller and Global Catalog as well. Now abruptly my users take long to login there systems, They stuck on "Applying Setting..." too long. I have different clients Win-7/XP they both have same problem. Can you please guide me what is issue?

hi i think it is network issue or domain controller issue 1. whats your domain controller configuratons and its utilization? 2. check local user accounts can able to logon without any trouble 3. optionaly check what kind of switch r u using L1,L2,L3 4. total no of users login to the domain 5. run gpupdate /force and restart the domain controller and then restart clients check all these thing and replay the same

This is probably caused by a GPO, to troubleshoot GPO's on the clients follow below links. For Windows XP you need to enable userenv.log: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221833 And for Windows 7 you can follow this: http://techibee.com/group-policies/enable-group-policy-debugging-on-windows-7/191
