Local ENTSSO dependency on Cluster ?

Hello BizTalk Admin Gurus,

We had ENTSSO clustered on the BizTalk servers itself in the past. Later on we migrated the ENTSSO to different cluster, everything went fine, so none of the BizTalk servers is MSS.

Now, we want to stop the cluster serveice 1 of the 4 BizTalk servers(and evict the node from cluster, leaving the other 3 servers part of the cluster for FTP receive etc), but cluster can't be stopped because ENTSSO depends on the cluster.

My question is, since we have moved the ENTSSO to a differenet cluster, does the local ENTSSO depends on cluster ? Can ENTSSO dependency on Cluster be removed ? If so how ?

Thanks for your help

The local Enterprise Single Sign-On Service should not be clustered, even if BizTalk Host Instances are clustered.

The only SSO component that should be clustered is the Master Secret Server and clustered only with the SQL Server Instance that hosts the SSODB database.

There should not be any dependency on any BizTalk Host Instance cluster.

Ok, thanks for your reply on this.
Agree, it is not required, but somehow local ENTSSO shows dependency on Cluster.

Can I remove its dependency by making the registry change at HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\ENTSSO\DependOnService ?

Currently it has "RPCSS ClusSvc COMSysApp".

With the caveat of not being able to see you environment, yes you can remove the dependency on the Cluster.

However, there has to be a UI option for this, I would not edit the Registry directly.

I agree that I can't show you my environment.

Thanks for your replies.
