Legacy application and folder virtualization issues
There is a legacy application installed on Windows Server 2008 R2. It's x32 and installed in c:\program files x86
Everything works fine, except for one scenerio:
application generates (itself) an RTF-file and saves it in its' folder (on this sped virtualization redirects file into virtualstore); application executes (probalby ShellExecute) the RTF file... but Word 2010 (is aware of Windows XP and virtualization is not applied) tries to open file in APP folder - the file that is no exist.
So, is there any settings that can help to solve the issue?
Thanks a lot.

There is not option to ask developer.
The question is about virtualization technology, so why should I use Word forum?
The same problem is confirmed with 7Zip and WinRAR applications.
Can anybody give me a hint?!

We need folder virtualization and don't want to disable it. Application is installed in Program Files (x86) on purpose - to enable virtualization.

Hi
Could you please try to edit the below registry to have a try? Before you edit it, I advise you backup it first.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions]
"DisableToolbarUpgrader"=dword:00000001
"NoCommandBar"=dword:00000001
"NoLinksBar"=dword:00000001
"NoNavBar"=dword:00000001

I've found the solution:
using ACT 5.6 I set "RunAsInvoker" flag for Word and other applications.
So that application (even been aware of Vista) started with virtualization flag.
