That's 2 separate items -- Learning something never guarantees job placement. Colleges are being sued because of promises of job placement upon graduation. You can goto places like Global Knowledge or self-study from books at your local library
to reading Technet.
You can use CareerBuilder, Monster, Dice, local recruiters, etc to find MS employments.

http://www.windowsnetworking.com/
http://www.windowsecurity.com/

For job hunting I use www.dice.com and

I have taught Microsoft Certification courses for many years. I believe that the best approach with the most success is for the student to buy a copy of the Microsoft Training kit such as the one listed below and to run labs in a virtual
environment using Virtual PC or VMWare workstation. Then, if you are interested in employment, try to get some experience in an Enterprise environment as a field tech, Service Desk technician, or even become an intern to get some exposure.
There is no need to spend a lot of money on training materials and it really doesn't take that much time to get yourself knowledgeable enough to begin working in the field.

I would have to agree going to some certification classes are good but actually doing the things that need to be done within a test environment gives you more information then reading a book. You should read Training kits from MS but make sure you do the
exercises.
