Launch Pad on Server 2008??....i'm confused.....
I'm getting acquainted with Server 2008, I have this particular question about "create an Administrators Launch Pad with a task...." So, I'm at a lose here, what is the Launch Pad?, I know it's a silly question but after looking around on Google and books I still have no straight answer, how do I launch or create the "Launch Pad"???? Thx for any kind soul who could fill this void... H

Hello, sounds for me that you are talking about some programming: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg513902.aspxBest regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Taking a wild guess, but could your documentation have a typo and actually be talking about a "TaskPad" and not a "Launch Pad"? These are custom task panes you can create in an MMC console. If you open the MMC, load a snap-in of your choice, click on the Actions menu, you can create a task pad and then add individual tasks to it. C Shane Cribbs http://www.georgiatechnologies.com

I'm using the 6425B Lab for Server 2008 ADDS, Module 2> Lab A> Exercise 4> Step 4, "Create an Administrators Launch Pad with a task that opens the Command Prompt".... Now, as u all can c, I'm not the only one confused by this, a typo maybe???? @JM and @Meinolf, Thx, I saw that at first but since this is the basic part of ADDS I will not believe programing of any sort is in the list, I'll go for the suggestion by Shane, gonna check it in a minute cause I have to restart this machine will be back in a bit with an update.

Ok, I did what u suggested Shane, in theory it should be ok, but it doesn't work, for some reason I still don't get, the MMC doesn't load and the program won't run at logon......
