Latency in USB Backup using NTBackup
Our system backup starts at 8:00PM, and usually takes 12-13 hours to complete. It's running the native NTBackup, backing up Exchange, System State, and Users folders. The size of the backup is 65G. Is it normal for a 65G backup, using USB, to take 12-13 hours? Our server is running in a RAID-10 configuration. --jp

65GB over USB 1.1 is estimated to take 14 hours, from online calculators I am using. Make sure the USB device you are using is USB 2.0 or better and the USB port you are using is also USB 2.0 http://adamsworld.name/copy_calc.php?do
