I have a really strange problem with three Windows 2012 R2 servers I have just built.

When they boot, they sometimes stop using 'English (UK)' as the layout. If I log on, I can see that 'English (UK) is still the selected input method, none others are listed, but some keys are still not in the right place.

After a reboot, the problem goes away, until a later reboot.

They are freshly built and haven't been on the network yet, and they were built from a standard ISO, not a pre-configured image.

I'm connecting via HP iLO and this is driving me nuts...

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

How did you configure Advanced settings : Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Language, click at the link Advanced settings.

You could try the following steps to check the reuslt:

In Advanced settings

1. Change Override default input language to English
2. Choose Let me set a different input method for each app window
3. Reboot

Yes, all three were from the same ISO.

I hadn't changed the Advanced Settings, the only thing I had done was to set the System Locale to English (UK), And English (UK) is the only language listed in 'Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Language'.

I have now set 'Advanced -> Override for default input method' to 'English (UK) - UK'. 

I'll let you know if this changes anything.
