Hi all

I tried to install patch Kb/2620656 on a windows server 2008 R2 STD and i received error: "The update is not applicable on your computer"

I don't understand, what's wrong? can you please help?

Can you check version of localspl.dll? It might already be of higher version than the released ,

Yes. Your server is upto data and you don't need to worry.

Yes. Higher version of these binaries will always contain the above mentioned fix.

Satish, how would this be possible though? On the KB page it says you must be running either Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2008 R2 SP1 to apply this fix. Does this mean that another hot fix has superseded it an is already applied?
