KMS server backup
We are running a KMS server on a virtual machine. When moving this machine to another host it needs reactivation. Our solution so far is to not move it to another host, but what if our host ever experiences hardware problems? Is there a way to back up and restore (or move) a virtualized KMS server to another host? The KMS server is a Server 2008 R2, the Hyper-V hosts are Server 2008 R2 (some core some not).

OK, just found out that exporting and then importing (rather than just copying the hard drive (i.e. .vhd file)) keeps the machine activated (and the "KMS service" running). So moving to another machine this way works (will perform final testing of actual activations by clients tomorow, if that poses problems I'll post a further question here). Regards, Kris.
