KMS Key, 2008 R2 only or 2008 R2 and 2008 (R1) KMS Key?
This is a pretty simple question, although I can't find an answer - we have a KMS server with a MAK (B) key for Windows Server 2008 R2 applied. We actually never planned to deploy 2008 (R1), but now are finding that we have to in a few scenarios. Do we need to install the 2008 MAK key on the KMS server as well, or should they be activating using the 2008 R2 MAK key?

Hi, How do you have a KMS server with a MAK (B) key for Windows Server 2008 R2 applied? Do you want to say you have a KMS server with a KMS (B) key for Windows Server 2008 R2 applied? You cannot install a MAK key on a KMS server. Otherwise, this KMS server will not act as a KMS server. Please describe your question more clearly. I cannot quite understand it now. Tim Quan
