This KB is 1 of 3 that fail to install. The 3 KBs are: KB2604121 KB2656405 KB2686827 I downloaded the installer for the first of these (KB2604121) and manually ran it. That failed with this error: Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x800B010B), "Generic trust failure. Again, this is Windows Server 2003 Standard 32-bit, with Service Pack 2.

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums. These three updates are updates for .NET Framework 4. The problem can be caused by corrupted .NET Framework components in the system. I suggest we try pvdg42's steps in the thread below to remove and reinstall .NET Framework 4 as a test.
