KB2504602 installation on .net 3.5 SP1 issue
My WCF Service used to crash and went into faulted state. So I tried to install the Hotfix KB2504602. But the installer fails at the welcome screen itself with the message. "KB2504602 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer" My system configurations are "Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2" and dotnet framework installed is Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. SP1 KB2504602 is getting installed successfully if PC equipped with .Net 4.0, but as per Microsoft support link this patch can be installed on .Net 3.0 SP-2 OR .Net 3.5 SP1 (which includes 3.0 SP-2). Hotfix is downloaded from below link. http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/KB2504602/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=5585 What should I do? Thanks, Nital Soni NSONI

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/08/28/8904493.aspx This .NET Framework cleanup tool is designed to automatically perform a set of steps to remove selected versions of the .NET Framework from a computer. It will remove files, directories, registry keys and values and Windows Installer product registration information for the .NET Framework. The tool is intended primarily to return your system to a known (relatively clean) state in case you are encountering .NET Framework installation, uninstallation, repair or patching errors so that you can try to install again.MCTS - Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
