Our hardware is as follows TFS 2010 runs on Windows 2008 R2 The client is a MAC running OS X 10.7 and using Safari as the browser NOTE: Our Windows machines work fine. We can browse through the Team Web Access Portal fine, but as sson as we try and open a doc file it displays the following error Unable to find appropriate display filter for file extension ".doc". Add a mapping into MimeMap.xml file under App_Data Folder Click to download file to your computer When we download the file it has all sorts of wierd characters in the name of the file and not the correct extension. Any help would be appreciated...:)

Hi, You mentioned Windows machines work fine, I think you mean IE in Windows machines work fine to browse that files. Have you tried installing Safari on Windows machine and trying to access that file link? This may help us narrow down whether browser is causing the issue. Also, please check the link iamrafic provided, posters in that thread explained the issue.
