Is there any update to SMB1 issue affecting connections from W2K8R2 to W2K3 file servers?
I have been reading http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsserver2008r2networking/thread/9f93508c-71fa-4807-b41a-8f558563afe3/, but this is now marked as read only, and the "work around" won't work for us, as we end disconnected sessions after 15 minutes. We are affected by this and management doesn't want to go into production with our UAT TS farm servers until this is resolved. Has a solution been developed by MS resolving this issue? Syncr0s

Hi Syncr0s Thanks for posting here. Yes, this hot fix has been released. Please download and install the hot fix described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: You cannot access a remote server that shares files and printers by using the SMB protocol from a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2194664 Thanks.
