Hi Sirmy domain and forest functional level is "Server 2003", and there is only 1 DC in my organization now. Recently I would like to dcpromo another server 03 in the same office and in the same subnet to the second DC.the main point is, can i assign the second DC "global catalog" also? and any server role i need to move or modify to complete my task?basically, is that i can add unlimited numberof global catalog in my organization?Thanks

If you have a single site, single domain network, then it is safe to go ahead and designate all of your domain controllers to act as Global Catalog servers. In this type of environment, all of the domain controllers contain full copies of the Active Directory anyway, so the additional resource consumption caused by having multiple Global Catalog servers will be minimal.
