Is the BizTalk HTTP adapter deprecated?

We are upgrading from an older version of BizTalk to BizTalk 2013, and part of the upgrade is to migrate away from deprecated adapters. I do know that the SOAP adapter is deprecated, but I cannot find any official Microsoft information on the HTTP adapter.

I realize that it is suggested to go directly to WCF-BasicHTTP.  However, I have been asked not to update anything that isn't officially deprecated.

Thanks!

As of BizTalk Server 2013 R2, the deprecated Adapters are:

  • HTTP
  • SOAP
  • SQL

Additionally, BAS and Human Workflow Service have also been deprecated as well as a few other minor tools and API's

All three deprecated Adapters have been replaced by equivalent functionality in a WCF binding.

Understood.

Is there an 'official' Microsoft link that clarifies this? Again, I've only found documentation are these:

For BizTalk 2013 and 2013R2

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj248703.aspx

For BizTalk 2010

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa559720(v=bts.70).aspx

For BizTalk 2009

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa559720(v=bts.10).aspx

All of the above state nothing about the HTTP adapter, just SOAP, SQL, and some other things (EDI pipeline changed, BizTalk Explorer, RFID, etc.

I'm 88% sure HTTP was specifically listed somewhere as deprecated, along with the SOAP Adapter, due to BizTalk Server 2006 R2 shipping with WCF replacements.

Either way, the HTTP Adapter has been replaced by WCF so even without specific docs, consider it deprecated and do all forward development using WCF.

I appreciate your response. This is what I have come up with for BizTalk 2006R2:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa559720(v=bts.20).aspx

Again, nothing with HTTP.  The only concern I have is that many in the community may assume that the HTTP adapter is still supported.  Can Microsoft update these sites?
