Is Windows Server Kernel Memory Resident
With regards to Windows Server, is the kernel memory resident or does it reside on disk and then is constantly accessed? If memory resident, is all of the kernel resident or only portions? I am responding to some unsupported statements regarding Windows Server and its operation versus UNIX and Unix-system like servers. Thank you in advance.

Hi, Only portions. Some regions of virtual memory in kernel mode such as Paged pool can be paged into and out of the system, while some, such as Nonpaged pool, are guaranteed to reside in physical memory at all times.
