Is ATA-over-ethernet storage supported for SQL data/log files?

Does someone know if ATA-over-Ethernet kind of storage supported to put SQL Server data/log files on it? I am looking for some official document from MS. I know about iSCSCI and FC supportability... and also know AoE is a protocol, not native to MS. However, the title question remains the same :)

Any additional info like perf, scalability etc would also be helpful.

Thanks in anticip

Hello,

I did not any document from Microsoft site or blog about SQL Server support ATA over Ethernet storage.

According to the this, Windows operating systems provide third-party ATA over Ethernet (AoE) support, for example, AoE Initiator. I suggest that you can consult with the third-party drivers for more details information.
