Internet Explorer and SSL site - page cannot be displayed
Hello, we're running local IIS server, with Outlook OWA, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and so on. It uses wildcard certificate which is generated by local domain CA. This domain's CA cert is distributed to domain computers with group policy. This works fine on majority of the computers. However, on few computers, trying to open ANY of the applications over SSL fails with generic "page cannot be displayed" error. Using other browsers works fine, so it's not server related. On those computers that fail, if I delete CA certificate, I *do* get a warning about invalid certificate, but clicking continue shows same generic error. Simple HTTP works fine. What can be going on here?

Have you enabled "Use TLS 1.0" in Internet Explorer on those machines (tools | internet options | advanced | use tls 1.0)? Regards Martin

I have tried different combinations of those settings. TLS 1.0 is enabled. No change :(

Hi, To narrow down the cause, let’s try to monitor the process and network traffic: Download Microsoft Network Monitor on problematic client: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=983b941d-06cb-4658-b7f6-3088333d062f&displaylang=en 1. Run Network Monitor and start capturing. 2. Reproduce the problem. Stop the capturing, save the result and upload the file to Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/). If you would like other community member to analyze the report, you can paste the link here, if not, you can send the link to tfwst@microsoft.com. And let’s use Process Monitor to trace the process: Process Monitor http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx Download and run it. Click File menu, check Capture Events, try to reproduce this error, when the error occurs, uncheck Capture Events again. Exported events to Logfile.PML and upload the file to sky drive too. Mervyn, do you think you could look at some of the logs I've captured? I have this happening at random occurences and just can't figure it out. If I don't add the site to the trusted sites, the windows auth responce is not sent automatically, user is asked for username and password, and it works fine. However, if I add site to trusted sites, and wa responce is sent automatically, I get generic page cannot be displayed responce..
