Internet Explorer - shared configuration
Hello all. How do I configure IE on a shared desktop computer such that any user who login(through AD) on that computer will have the same configuration? I login as admin, setup IE the way I want it, then copy a link into "All Users" -> "Desktop". When I login as regular user(non admin) and open IE, I don't have the changes made by the admin account. Any suggestion is much appreciated. jav

Hello, Thank you for your post here. To distribute the IE configurations to domain clients, you may: 1. Try the Internet Explorer Maintenance (IEM) in the User Configuration--->Windows Settings. In the preference mode ,you can specify the Advanced Internet settings for clients. Use the Internet Explorer Maintenance Extension http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb496356(TechNet.10).aspx 2. Create GPOs with Group Policy Preference Internet Settings. Managing Browser Settings with Group Policy Tools http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc985341.aspx Manage Internet Explorer After Deployment http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb496425(TechNet.10).aspx Hope it helps.
