I guess you are in project deployment mode willing to add a package to a catalog, so

SSISDB should not be accessed directly.

So is there any way to add a package in existing catalog project?

Thanks

You can only deploy a whole project to the SSIS catalog.

See this blog post:

You can only do this if you add new package to the project and then deploy the project as a whole. Remember in Project Deployment Model the basic unit is a project and not single package. It gets deployed always as a new version of the project so you need to include package inside and then do deployment.

Yes, this is So annoying that even there are enhancements for one package, one has to deploy whole project ag
