Installing executables with Powershell DSC

I am trying to install Visual Studio 2013 using PowerShell DSC but I'm running into a few issues and hoping that you guys could clear it up for me. Is DSC capable for rebooting the node and then resuming an installation of VS? Does anyone know what this error means? "vs_ultimate.exe was installed, but the specified ProductId and/or Name does not match package details"

Any help would be great!

Hi,

I have not seen that issue, and I hope the below articles be helpful:

While the blog you linked was a bit useful it did not really resolve any of my issues. It's still extremely unclear on how to use DSC to install an executable as its my understanding that executables don't have the same productID that MSI's do. The ProductID field is also required when deploying a DSC package, how exactly is someone supposed to deploy an .exe using DSC?
