Installing a Root CA certificate in Windows XP
Hi, I have a situation where the root CA cert needs to be installed on some XP machines that are not a part of the domain but they do have access to a network location where I can place the certificate. I am trying to script this so that users can run the script on their machine and the scripts adds the certificate to their Local Machine store. On Server 2003 machines, I can accomplish this by doing certutil -addstore root "Root.cer" but I cannot do the same in XP as certutil is not installed. Is there a way to accomplish this in XP? Thanks, -p

Copy certutil.exe certcli.dll and certadm.dll from the Windows Server 2003 computer to the Windows XP computersYou can then run your certutil command.Brian
