Installing SNMP services stops SQL Server services
When installing SNMP services on Windows 2003 SP2 Standard servers with SQL server running, the install stops the SQL Server Process, The SQL Server Agent Process and the Remote Access Connection Manager Process. The SNMP services automatically starts the the SQL services do not restart even when set to automatic.

Hi, On Windows Server 2003, when installing SNMP components, the following services will be stopped: SQL Server Process SQL Server Agent Process Remote Access Connection Manager Process.
