Installing Domain Controller drastically reduces write speeds
I've been having trouble setting trialling a new server configuration, where write speeds are dropping from 100Mb/s to 10Mb/s after running dcpromo. I've got a Dell Optiplex 745 as a test system, with a Samsung 750Gb 7200rpm drive, with Windows Server 2008 R2 installed. Write speeds before dcpromo: http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p348/QuinRiva/750_2.png After dcpromo: http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p348/QuinRiva/750.png Absolutely no idea what could be causing this problem. Any help would be appreciated

Hello, if a server is promoted to DC write caching is disabled.
