Installing Data Protection Manager 2007 on server 2008
I am attempting to install Microsoft Data Protection Server 2007 onto a box running Server 2008 standard. This is
a fresh OS install to begin with and I have installed the
prerequisites called for in: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb808814.aspx.
I downloaded the latest available DPS 2007 installation media (English
only version) and extracted to the hard drive on the 2008 box. When I run setup.exe I
am presented with the license agreement and as soon as I agree I get an
error that says:"Setup has detected an incompatible operating system.Install DPM System Recovery Tool on a computer with Windows Server 2003 R2 or later."What am I missing? Thanks!
