Installed Software missing in CI

Hi,

i found some other threads and articles about how to get software information into SCSM (CMDB).

So we enabled Asset Intelligence and these runs fine, Result are available through Ressource Explorer.

Our Issue is:We are still missing the installed Software on the Software Tab or does this tab relate to software packages, which we installed from sccm?

best

Did you add and configure the SCCM Connector in SCSM?

Did you choose the right collection in the connector config in SCSM?

Any information in the event log regarding the SCCM connector?

the connector is configured and finished with success (since a week)

All Systems are chossen, so every system is scoped.

no red messages in the eventlog just something like that:

Connector Configuration Manager imported 204 changes for data of type System.DeviceHasSoftwareItemInstalled from cache table Cached_CMv5_DeviceHasSoftwareItemsInstalled.

Also, on the history tab i find other data from the CM Connector but no input regarding installed software....

do i need to configure somewhere, which data flow through the conenctor?

The configuration is pretty straight forward:

Choose the right version of SCCM.

Specify Server and Database

Select Collection

Configure sc

so, it should work ;)

Is it possible, that the installed software relates only to software, which has been deployed by sccm and not to the inventoried?

June 29th, 2015 1:39pm

No. Every inventored software by SCCM is synced in SCSM. It doesn't matter if the software is deployed by SCCM or not.

Please check the permissions the SCCM connector account has on the SCCM database:

Connector account must be a member of the smsdbrole_extract and the db_datareader groups on SCCM site database.

both memberships are given...

i found this eventlog entry, so i guess permissions should be right...

by looking into the connector i realized the number stated behind the Collection is smaller, than the number of devices in CM.

Shouldn't this update automatically?

Which Update Rollup is installed on SCSM and SCCM?

Did you try to add a new SCCM Connector?

hmm, there should be installed UR6, but the version fits to the R2 base version, so there seems to be something has gone wrong.

I will do the patch again....

i also recreated the conenctor.

This time i did not scope to all Systems, but to my Notebook, PC and Server Collections.

this seems to have done the trick....

I will have an eye on this....

@Andreas: thanks for your support!
