As part of a class assignment, we are installing Windows Sever 2008 on external hard drives with Win 7 Virtual PC. Can anybody with experience in this, share they're experience in what is to be expected or share any issues that occur during installation?

Hi there, As you are using Virtual PC there is no major issues you should run into during the install. (no missing drivers to worry about etc) All you will need to do to complete the base install is to pick the regional settings, pick the version you want to run (std/ent) and provide a computer name.
