Installation Problems
I have tried installing this software for school for the past week and a half and cannot get it to be completed. I get the same error message: The error code is 0x80004005

It says that the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. The database engine services, and sql server reapplication failed after the installation completed. When I click the link to see more information, it leads me to a website that no longer can help me. It is SQL 2012 with 1 service pack. Any help would be appreciated!

Dont install SQL Server 2012 with SP1 it had some known issues . You can share Summary.txt file with us so that we can see what was the issue. During installation uncheck SP1 box and just install SQL Server 2012 you might succeed.

Hello,

This issue is probably related to .NET Framework. Try resetting permissions using caspol like this:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\caspol.exe -machine reset

Please run the following tool to verify .NET Framework is working fine.

Hope this helps.
