Installation BSOD; 'Verification of a KnownDLL failed'
Upon installing Windows Server 2008 trial, I get a BSOD immediately after the first 'bootup' style screen (black with scrolling green). The text is:STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)The verification of a KnownDLL failed, system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc00000020 (0x877832f0 0x00000000).The system has been shut down.I burned the ISO at slowest settings (1.0x) and the md5 of the downloaded image matches this one ( http://www.greenhughes.com/content/running-windows-server-2008-under-kubuntu ).What could be causing this error and is there anything I can do to prevent it?

What hardware are you installing on? If your hardware has any management interfaces like HP's ILO interface, make sure to upgrade firmware and bios of all components. If it's a "custom" pc, upgrade bios. Are you running x86 or x64 hardware? And do the version of 2008 match your hardware?

Hi, According to the symptom, it seems that the installation ISO file was not downloaded or burned properly. Please try downloading the ISO file and burn it properly. For you convenience, I have list a link to the trial software of Windows Server 2008.
