Inappropriate material
What, in your view, would constitute inappropriate material on corporate servers or workstations, aside from porn vids/images? What risk does having such material on your servers/workstations pose - and who can essentially catch you for having such material on your corporate servers. Realisitically, how likely is it a 3rd party would catch and prosecute you for having this information on your devices. And the big question - are their any free ways to identify this stuff on your servers/workstations? And how practical is it for the admin to identify this stuff and remove it? Near impossible in large networks? Are people really that stupid to bring it in to work or is it pretty rare.

Hello, "What, in your view, would constitute inappropriate material on corporate servers or workstations, aside from porn vids/images?" This belongs to a legal advisor and the company policies. "What risk does having such material on your servers/workstations pose - and who can essentially catch you for having such material on your corporate servers. Realisitically, how likely is it a 3rd party would catch and prosecute you for having this information on your devices." If the files are without any virus/spyware etc. nothing on the machines itself. "catch you" belongs to legal advisors part not to Microsoft forums. For 3rd party products use your preferred search engine. "are their any free ways to identify this stuff on your servers/workstations? " For 3rd party products use your preferred search engine. There are no specific tools to search for this kind of data. You ca use the normal search option to look for specific file content, that's it. "Near impossible in large networks? " Impossible is nothing, if you find the proper way and have the powerful hardware. "Are people really that stupid to bring it in to work or is it pretty rare" Be sure it will be, more often then you hear about this.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
